To celebrate the one year anniversary of our kids bookshop, La Petite Librairie Drawn & Quarterly, we are thrilled to host an event with bestselling Amulet cartoonist Kazu Kibuishi at Rialto Theatre. He will launch Supernova (Amulet # 8) on Monday October 8th at 4PM! We have sold hundreds of the Amulet series published by Scholastic, which follows the adventures of Emily, a young girl who discovers a magical amulet in her great-grandfather’s house. Graphic novel star Kibuishi creates a world of terrible, man-eating demons, a mechanical rabbit, a talking fox, a giant robot—and two ordinary children on a mission.

Presentation followed by a Q+A and author signing

Kazu Kibuishi is the founder and editor of the Flight Anthologies, a critically acclaimed comics series, as well as the creator of Daisy Kutter: The Last Train, a winner of the YALSA Best Books for Young Adults Award. He is also the cover artist for the 15th Anniversary Harry Potter series. Born in Tokyo, Japan, Kazu moved to the U.S. with his mother and brother when he was a child. He graduated from Film Studies at the University of California Santa Barbara, and then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. He currently works as a full-time comic book artist.
