A holistic approach that yields positive results.
Apart from taking care of basic students’ requirements, Opération Bonne Mine focuses on key, school-success elements such as self-confidence, sense of belonging and desire to exceed expectations. To achieve these goals, the program looks at all aspects that can have an impact on academic success: extracurricular and school activities, meals, necessary school supplies, transportation and after-school programs.
By providing each child with an equal opportunity to develop his/her learning potential to the fullest, we feel that we can keep a majority of kids in school and effectively break the cycle of poverty.

Six masked characters experience one country’s collapse into absurdity. An exploration of the human crisis that has befallen Venezuela. Elsewhere uses mask and storytelling to explore six lives affected by the Venezuelan crisis. In Elsewhere, a grandmother dips into memories of easier times, a beauty queen waits in line to feed her children, a police officer questions his alliance with the government, a homeless man pleads to god, a political prisoner waits for freedom, and a Venezuelan-Canadian watches from afar wondering what she can do to help.

The Women of Saturn is a gripping novel with current themes and built-in suspense, as Montreal Italian as a two cheek kiss and as satisying as southern Italian food. Set in a high school in Park Extension, in the backdrop of 1980 Montreal, with constant news flashes of crime, political corruption, school disruptions due to contract negotiations, it makes 2017 feel a lot like 1980.
Join us for a special 80s revival launch party for The Women of Saturn hosted by actress/playwright Michaela Di Cesare, author of the critically acclaimed play, Pirandello’s Wife, and with music by the rock band Bad Selfies. Doors open at 6:00, readings at 7:00, music and dance afterwards. Door prizes, cash bar, free admission.
