Regina Reichherzer and Lysandre Murphy Gauthier, hosts, and David Menes, director of the show, present : TISS, Cabaret métissé; a multidisciplinary show that conveys the importance of self-expression, and of openness among the cohabiting cultures in Montreal, and in Quebec. The artists were gracefully chosen to illustrate the diversity of Quebec and Montreal’s cultural landscape ; music, dancing, circus art, magic, theatric art, visual arts, culinary arts… we hope to awaken the artistic fibre in you. This universal language is, according to us, a door to a more collaborative & sensitive world. We see this inclusive and interactive gathering as an opportunity to weave relationships between cultural and artistic communities who live side-by-side in this colourful city!
We want to make this evening possible to create bridges as well as nice encounters among everyone, artists and spectators, and to let ourselves be inspired by the different artistic disciplines.
The invited artists for the evening:
Gypsy Kumbia Orchestra
Kumpa’nia tambours ambulants
Danseurs de Tango
La chorale syrienne de Montréal
Circassiens et magicien
Bringing together the raddest women & girls in the conversation, both locally and beyond, #GLOLmtl is not only Montreal’s 1st Girls Empowerment Summit, it’s the beginning of a revolution.
A new conversation about self-love and self-determination, this event aims not only to create a safe space for girls to talk openly about the struggles and stresses so commonly felt by this generation but also at giving them practical tools to cope and thrive in spite of them.
To do this, #GLOLmtl has invited Dr. Lauren Hazzouri, Licensed Teen Psychologist & Founder of The Practice all the way from Pennsylvania, revolutionizing the way girls & women care for their emotional mental health. Other phenomenal guest speakers include: our own Montreal’s influencer @NalieAgustin, Model & body activist Elly Mayday and our inspirational model and founder of “Born To Rise” Aiesha Robinson, whom we are honoured to have at our first GLOLmtl summit!, and all the way from New York City – founder of the social media movement Half The Story, Larissa May. And now we have two more amazing “Girls Living Out Loud”, Montreal’s singer and song writer Sara Diamond and the one and only KGMTL, Katherine Garbarino! We have an amazing day waiting for all of you!
The event will be held at the stunning Rialto Theatre, located in the Mile End of Montreal.
*We’ve teamed up with “For Us Girls Foundation”, an international foundation providing leadership and mentorship programs for girls, to empower at-risk girls by giving them the opportunity to this great event. For every 5 tickets sold, one young girl will receive access to this life-changing event. In addition, at each partnership level, the sponsorship will pay for a number of girls to attend. This opportunity allows us girls who would not otherwise have access to these messages to take part in this crucial conversation.
For all girls, aged 13+
